Signature Ingredients

“YOU CAN TELL THEY USE HIGH QUALITY INGREDIENTS THAT WON’T HARM YOUR SKIN OVERTIME.”
— Nastacia, Studio City, CA ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Manuka Honey

Produced from bees that pollinate the native tea tree in New Zealand, manuka honey is a powerful, antioxidant-rich humectant with more antibacterial, soothing and moisture-locking abilities than any other variety of honey. For these reasons, it’s ideal for skin that’s prone to dryness, irritation and breakouts.

Did you know that manuka honey is in such high demand that it’s actually being counterfeited? Insert the UMF (Unique Manuka Factor), which tracks the quality of the buzzy ingredient. Our sweet stuff has a rating of 26—meaning major antibacterial and healing properties.

Shea Butter

All those in favor of baby soft skin, raise your hand! Obtained from the fruit of the African karate tree, shea butter is rich in essential fatty acids (omega 3 and 6) and vitamin E (tocopherol) to moisturize, nourish, soothe and balance.

Our shea butter supplier is helping to make the world a better place by fighting deforestation and reducing CO2 emissions, which makes life easier and safer for the growers. The company implemented a “supplier code of conduct” in order to encourage a more ethical supply chain. It also established a program directed at increasing the number of women shea collectors to help drive social, environmental and economic development in West Africa.

“I’m extremely allergic to fragrance and harsh ingredients and this does a good job at not stripping my natural oils. Would highly recommend to anyone!”

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is a plant extract known for its hydrating, soothing and anti-inflammatory properties.

Store shelves are lined with water-based face washes, but the foundation of our cleanser is good-for-you aloe vera. We carefully sought out our supplier because its aloe vera is produced in accordance with the COSMOS-standard and has been certified by ECOCERT. Grown in the hills and valleys of El Progreso (quick geography lesson: that’s the dry corridor of Guatemala), our pure aloe vera is the highest quality and produced in accordance with the standards of organic certification. Hand-filleted, raw aloe vera leaves are purchased from local farmers and processed at a dedicated facility to ensure precise quality control.

Green Tea Extract

Rich in polyphenols (potent, free radical-fighting antioxidants) green tea extract guards against environmental damage and premature aging.

Our supplier is a champion of renewable plants and the cold water extraction method. This eco-friendly technique takes a bit longer, but it’s worth it to guarantee the precious plant constituents aren’t damaged by heat. What’s more, strict adherence to sustainability and compliance measures means no greenhouse gases or toxins are emitted as a result of production.

Prickly Pear Seed Oil

Derived from the only plant to contain all 24 known betalain antioxidants, prickly pear seed oil contains polyphenols, amino acids, essential fatty acids (including omega 6 and 9), which makes it extremely nourishing and moisturizing. With 150% more vitamin E than argan oil, it also packs a free radical-fighting punch.

Our supplier’s mission? Produce products that are proven benefit to people and the environment we all share. A dedicated staff of botanists, agronomists, pharmacists, chemists, microbiologists, compounders and analysts work tirelessly to use knowledge and technology to get the best out of nature. All ingredients come from proven sustainable sources, nothing is ever taken unethically from the wild and careful processing methods promise the active compounds stay in their most potent, natural form.

“Contains so many of the ingredients I look for in serums and creams, all in one which is such a relief because I don’t have time for a 10 step routine.”

Squalane

Derived from olives (yes, olives!), squalane is a lightweight, non–comedogenic oil that easily absorbs into the skin to maximize hydration and balance sebum levels.

We support our supplier because of its unwavering dedication to plant-based squalene (despite the increased cost of this amazing ingredient) as well as continued commitment to supply raw materials, utilize technology platforms that mirror the ever-evolving expectations of the market and manufacture innovative, eco-friendly products

Oat Beta Glucan

A skin-soothing agent that’s naturally occurring in the cell walls of oats, oat beta glucan helps soothe skin and reduce redness.

We love our supplier because of its commitment to renewable agricultural practices, minimizing waste and the development of lean manufacturing processes. The company works closely with breeders and growers to develop unique varieties of renewable botanicals that produce high concentrations of active molecules. And proprietary processing technologies use only eco-friendly, raw and processed ingredients that are acceptable in both food and cosmetic formulations.

Rosemary Leaf Oil

Obtained from the leaves of Mediterranean rosemary shrub, rosemary leaf oil is prized for its antioxidant, antimicrobial, healing and tightening properties. It also has a wonderfully woody, herbaceous scent.

Our rosemary leaf oil supplier has been dedicated to sustainable production and processing since 1893. Not only does the company have relationships with its growers dating back generations, but its proprietary methods keep the natural properties of essential oils intact, while removing allergens, color and other unwanted constituents.
